You asked for it. We listened.
What's more, the need for NOSW's programs are greater than ever. That's why we began taking a condensed version of our curriculum on the road in 2017. We have reached out to partner sites in the region to begin five FREE, three-day, non-residential programs closer to the place you call home. The non-residential program focuses heavily on recovering a sense of self worth, cultivating a network of support, discovering your goals and taking small steps to achieve them.
Thanks to a grant Sustainable Berea received to collaborate with the Richmond based women’s recovery center, Liberty Place, the program Harvesting Hope was created in response to the growing opiod problem in Eastern Kentucky. This program works with small groups of women in recovery to teach them skills that are important to their recovery and future place in the work force, as well as with finding the tools and resources to build self-esteem and creative ways to motivate themselves towards achieving their goals. Since joining this collaboration last year, we have had the opportunity to host two three-day intensive sessions and have five more planned through July of 2019.
